Dow in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to implement the EH&S management system, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in environmental protection, industrial hygiene, and workplace safety.

You will act as SME for EH&S policies, coach teams, verify tasks, and support the Path2Zero initiative as part of Dow's decarbonization strategy. Relevant Canadian work authorization required; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of EH&S, OH&S, or related field experience.
• For this position in Canada, candidates must be authorized to work legally in Canada. Visa sponsorship or support is not available.

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S procedures and work processes, ensuring alignment with established safety and environmental standards.
• Maintains compliance with operating discipline by reinforcing environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety measures.
• Acts as a subject matter expert for EH&S policies, providing guidance to plant personnel.
• Functions as the primary contact for resolving EH&S-related concerns within the plant.
• Educates and coaches teams on environmental, health, and safety best practices.
• Assists in setting and meeting EH&S targets at the plant or department level.
• Verifies the completion of all regulatory and compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring, including data gathering, interpretation, and reporting.
