Job summary

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation seeks a senior role within the Advocacy & System Improvement team in the US Program to manage a portfolio of education grants and contracts and to catalyze innovative interventions that improve student outcomes. You will collaborate with colleagues and the field to develop and implement investment strategies aligned with strategy goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience leading complex initiatives with budget responsibility.
• Experience in education sector at multiple levels (school to federal).
• Experience with grant design and management with investor’s approach.
• Experience developing and distributing education products or services.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage a complex portfolio of program-related grants and contracts.
• Support development and validation of models, tools, platforms, and solutions that advance student outcomes.
• Design investments to improve market information around digital content and tools.
• Identify gaps in digital product availability and catalyze product development and improvement.
• Foster an active ecosystem of entrepreneurial product developers with strong feedback loops.
