Job summary

EY is seeking an eDiscovery Manager, Assistant Director in New York to lead strategic discovery initiatives across litigation and regulatory matters. You will partner with attorneys, case teams, and outside counsel to deliver defensible eDiscovery services using advanced analytics, TAR, and AI-enabled workflows.

The role oversees preservation, collection, review, analytics, production, and disposition activities, and designs AI prompts and workflows to optimize efficiency and defensibility

Qualifications

• Experience advising attorneys and legal stakeholders on discovery strategy and defensibility.
• Experience designing, testing, validating, and optimizing prompts for AI-assisted legal workflows.
• Experience leveraging generative AI for document classification, review acceleration, issue identification, summarization, and workflow automation.
• Experience leading complex, high-risk, or high-volume discovery matters involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in the Discovery lifecycle including document collection, evidence management, processing, review and production.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Minimum 8-10 years of discovery experience.
• Advanced knowledge of the EDRM lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject-matter expert on enterprise eDiscovery and legal technology platforms.
• Leverage advanced analytics, TAR, and AI-enabled review workflows to improve efficiency and defensibility.
• Lead discovery strategy discussions, matter kickoff meetings, search consultations, and status meetings with attorneys and outside counsel.
• Advise matter teams on defensible review and production strategies.
• Design, develop, and validate AI prompts, classification criteria, and review workflows.
• Develop keyword searches, production saves, and quality control processes.
• Review production specifications for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Document and report on matter activities and outcomes.
