Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced electronics verification engineer to own the design verification and characterization of vehicle ECUs, with emphasis on Zonal and Battery ECUs. You will lead test planning, execute characterization tests, and collaborate with reliability, design, and firmware teams to ensure robust electronics.

The role requires hardware lab proficiency, Python scripting, and strong data analysis skills to root-cause issues and drive design improvements.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing.
• Experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU design verification.
• Lead execution of characterization testing plans according to project milestones.
• Own test coverage reports and analysis to drive design decisions.
• Perform bench-level characterization at IC and PCB levels.
• Develop and present Design for Testability (DFT) reports for ECU designs.
• Write basic automation scripts and instrumentation drivers (Python) to speed testing.
• Work with software engineers to flash, test, and troubleshoot firmware.
• Root cause non-compliance test results through data analysis with cross-functional teams.
