Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced automotive ECU/embedded systems engineer to own high‑level system integration for HPCC/TCU across the vehicle lifecycle. You will coordinate hardware, software, calibration, diagnostics, cybersecurity, validation, and production readiness with a broad technical community.

The role requires 7+ years in ECU/embedded systems, strong leadership, BOM management, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Experience delivering ECU/embedded systems from development through vehicle launch
• Understanding of DVP&R, BOM management, and supplier coordination

Responsibilities

• Lead component integration across hardware, software, calibration, diagnostics, cybersecurity, and validation
• Manage suppliers to ensure hardware/software meet specs, quality, and schedule
• Validate bench, lab-car functionality before vehicle-level validation
• Drive root-cause analysis for software, hardware, network, and vehicle issues
• Own verification planning covering functionality, electrical performance, and cybersecurity
• Control release readiness including drawings, configurations, and diagnostics at milestones
• Support launch readiness with calibration routines, VIN consumption, and dealer service diagnostics
