Strategic Insight, Ltd. in Arlington, VA seeks an Economist to lead macro and microeconomic analysis for government clients.

You will monitor global economic indicators, build quantitative models, and deliver data-driven briefs to senior leadership. Responsibilities include producing sector health assessments, forecasting risks to the defense industrial base, and developing analytical frameworks and dashboards to visualize trends for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of experience using statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and forecasting to develop economic data and forecasts.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics from an accredited university or college.
• Ability to organize data into clear reports and illustrations for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and analyzes global economic indicators to identify trends and risks by country and sector.
• Creates the Quarterly Economic Threat & Trend Report and other analyses for senior leadership.
• Develops microeconomic sector health assessments to quantify market concentration and incentives driving firm behavior.
• Forecasts macroeconomic trends and assesses impact on the defense industrial base and acquisition programs.
• Designs dashboards and tools to visualize economic risk and trend data.
