Job summary

Google Economics Team seeks a skilled economist to design and execute economic impact studies using big data and advanced econometrics. You will quantify Google’s contributions to the macro economy and communicate insights to executives and external audiences.

You will combine rigorous statistical modeling with large, real-world datasets, supporting broader analytical work such as macroeconomic monitoring and topical issue analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• PhD in Economics or related field preferred.
• 4+ years doing empirical analysis with econometric/statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement economic impact studies using econometric methods.
• Conduct quantitative analyses using advanced econometrics and statistical models.
• Manipulate and transform large datasets ensuring data quality.
• Monitor macroeconomic environment and deliver incisive analyses on topical issues.
• Translate findings into clear reports, publications and presentations for executives and policymakers.
