Job summary

OHLA USA is seeking a Senior Estimator - Earthwork in Irvine, CA to lead the estimating process for heavy civil and site development projects. You will prepare quantity take-offs, develop cost estimates, analyze production rates, and lead bids from review to submission.

The role requires extensive experience with earthwork, mass grading, and underground utilities, plus proficiency in AGTEK and HCSS. Collaboration with owners and design teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience on heavy civil, earthwork, grading or site development.
• Experience estimating large-scale mass grading and site development projects.
• Proficiency with AGTEK and HCSS estimating tools.
• Ability to read civil plans, specs and geotechnical reports.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and other Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for large-scale earthwork and site development projects.
• Review plans, specs and geotechnical reports to define project scope.
• Perform detailed take-offs, mass haul and earthwork modeling.
• Develop pricing using crew, rates, equipment and productivity data.
• Solicit, evaluate and level subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Mentor junior estimators and coordinate bid submissions.
• Present assumptions and pricing in bid reviews.
• Support transition of awarded projects to operations.
