Job summary

Collaborative For Children in Houston, TX, seeks a Senior Early Learning Coach for Pre-K programs. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on coaching teachers, analyzing data, and implementing research-based curricula to improve child outcomes.

Requirements include 3+ years in early childhood, a relevant Bachelor’s or 18 ECE credits with 12 in child development, and strong collaboration skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and driving across the Houston area is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in an early childhood setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field; or 18 credit hours in ECE with 12 credit hours in child development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with adults in teaching/learning.
  • Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards, NAEYC Development Standards, Texas Core Competencies, and Early Learning Guidelines.
  • Conversational and written fluency in English/Spanish is highly desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Must have valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

  • Interface with technology to document work, analyze data, and support progress-monitoring systems for Early Learning Programs.
  • Oversee the implementation of research-based curricula and frameworks to successfully meet child outcomes and specialist’s goals.
  • Support Early Learning Programs and families with facilitation of services related to inclusive environments for all learners.

Senior Early Learning Coach (Pre‑K Programs) – Hybrid

Location: Houston, Texas

Position: Full‑time, Day shift, Nonprofit – Social Services

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an early childhood setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science; or at least 18 credit hours in early childhood education with 12 credit hours in child development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with adults in teaching/learning situations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards, NAEYC Professional Development Standards, Texas Core Competencies, and Early Learning Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education.
  • Conversational and written fluency in English/Spanish is highly desired.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Helpful to have some experience with AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Must be able to work a 40‑hour, Monday‑Friday schedule.
  • Schedule flexibility to accommodate occasional weekday evening hours and weekend hours.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation because this position requires driving to different locations throughout the greater Houston area.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance coverage.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Hourly pay rate of $26.45 (equates to $55,016 annually). Pay dates are bi‑weekly.
  • Monthly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for Collab‑related business travel.
  • Health and supplemental insurance: HDHP medical option with $1400/year employer‑paid contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA), prorated based on hire date. Other voluntary insurance options: Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Accident, and Critical Illness. Employer‑paid STD, LTD, Basic Life/AD&D insurance. First of month after hire eligibility.
  • Retirement plan: 1:1 company matching contribution after 90 days employment, up to 6%.
