Qualifications

• Masters degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
• Two years of experience in early childhood special education.
• Knowledge of best practices for developing and delivering early childhood programs.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
• Ability to work well as a member of a team.
• Travel and public speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in program areas for effective leadership, development and implementation in early childhood initiatives.
• Reviews, negotiates and recommends disposition of project/grant applications and contractual agreements.
• Initiates and conducts on-site visitations of programs/projects for compliance with rules and regulations.
• Monitors projects as implemented in relation to the original plan.
• Reviews monitoring reports and program improvement plans.
• Provides technical assistance and support for early childhood initiatives to school personnel.
• Participates in development and revision of program guidelines and procedures.
• Initiates and maintains contact with external resources and professional organizations.
