Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a senior engineer for the DynamoDB Observability and Performance team to improve efficiency of the DynamoDB stack. You will design and build measurement tools, analyze latency and utilization, and tie findings to customer outcomes to identify bottlenecks.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with partner teams, and deliver data products that explain customer experience and drive reliability for millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging technical problems across the stack.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to measure, describe and improve service performance.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers and help set team priorities.
• Collaborate with partner teams to align on requirements and expectations and drive business decisions with technical input.
