Job summary

Inversion, based in Playa Vista, CA, is seeking a Senior Dynamics Engineer to own loads, structural and multibody dynamics analyses for a leading reentry vehicle. You will define dynamic environments, mature designs, and validate performance through analysis and hardware correlation.

You will collaborate across mechanical, structures and test teams in a fast-paced environment, and must have ability to obtain US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional loads/structural/multibody dynamics experience.
• Familiarity with FE/MD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, FEMAP).
• Experience with flight hardware or high-consequence systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop loads, structural dynamics, and multibody dynamics analyses.
• Define dynamic environments and load cases.
• Create and maintain multibody models for mechanisms and deployment.
• Translate results into design requirements and interfaces.
• Collaborate with structures, mechanisms, and test teams.
• Present risks and recommendations in design reviews.
