Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior DSP/SDR Engineer to advance space-related payloads, sensors, and RF systems. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, guiding DSP/SDR solutions, and collaborating with DoD and IC stakeholders at our Chantilly, VA facility.

Applicants should have a strong background in SDRs, FPGA-based processing, and embedded DSP, with willingness to travel and obtain necessary security clearances. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in progressively more responsible roles.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Solve technically challenging problems in the areas of communications, signals collection, and data processing.
• Provide technical consultation and guidance to management, customers, and contractors; surface issues with actionable recommendations.
• Independently conduct technical studies/analysis/experiments/simulations and author report findings.
• Leverage laboratory infrastructure to develop prototypes, conduct tests, and perform experiments.
• Lead cross-organizational teams and coordinate interfaces with customers and Aerospace program offices.
• Represent the organization at technical meetings, presentations, and symposia.
• Travel up to 10% of time.
