Job summary

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, is hiring a Digital Signal Processing Algorithms Engineer. The role can be located in Tampa, FL or Warrenton, VA and involves prototyping DSP algorithms with Python or MATLAB, and writing production-ready C/C++ code for embedded processors.

You will lead architecture discussions, work with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP software, mentor engineers, and help define the technical roadmap. 8+ years in DSP and active Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of professional industry experience in DSP algorithm development and implementation; exceptional proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of core signal processing fundamentals; extensive hands-on experience using MATLAB or Python (SciPy/NumPy).
• Proven track record of taking complex DSP algorithms from math concepts to production hardware.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prototype DSP algorithms using Python or MATLAB.
• Implement production-ready C/C++ code for embedded DSPs.
• Lead DSP system architecture decisions and hardware/software partitioning.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to integrate DSP code and validate performance.
• Mentor engineers and establish testing and verification standards.
• Shape the team’s long-term technical roadmap.
