Job summary

PCI is seeking an experienced Senior Drywall Estimator for its Indianapolis operations based in Carmel, IN. The role involves takeoffs, labor productivity planning, and vendor management to support competitive pricing.

The candidate will participate in bid reviews, ensure accurate schedules, and assist in hand-offs to Operations. This safety-sensitive position offers a salary range of $94,000–$126,000 with a bonus program.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating/project management/managing drywall scopes.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.
• Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group.
• Understand market conditions including competitive approach, backlog and risk for margins.
• Be involved in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
• Participate in customer alignment objectives by creating positive customer relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Prepare wage and benefit schedules.
• Assist in hand-off of secured projects to Operations Team.
• Assist in other duties such as change orders or billings as needed.
