Job summary

assystinc is seeking a senior Drupal developer to architect and maintain secure, high-performance web applications for federal clients. This fully remote role requires a U.S.-based candidate with an active security clearance, blending full-stack Drupal engineering with strict accessibility, security, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with active Public Trust or DoD clearance.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on full-stack Drupal development.
• Mastery of custom Drupal module and theme development.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility and audit remediation.
• Experience with Drupal caching architectures, performance optimization, Git, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain enterprise Drupal solutions using PHP modules, Twig templating, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Enforce Drupal security best practices, harden sites, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure accessibility auditing per Section 508/WCAG 2.1.
• Implement caching strategies, optimize queries, and configure CDN for speed, reliability, and scale.
• Integrate third-party APIs, web services, and databases with Drupal applications.
• Conduct peer code reviews, document technical work, and debug full-stack issues across environments.
