Job summary

AIRO Group seeks a Chief Systems Architect to lead hands-on engineering across a high-growth drone business. You will own system design, build MOSA-compliant baselines, and lock down APIs while driving deployment of field-ready autonomous platforms.

You will steer MBSE workflows (Cameo, Jama, MATLAB/Simulink), lead cross-disciplinary teams, and optimize SWaP-C across compute, payloads, and power, delivering mission-critical systems to customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of systems engineering and architecture experience in aerospace/defense/autonomous platforms.
• Proven track record in system-level architecture, payload integration, and SWaP-C trade studies.
• Deep MBSE experience with modeling tools and ICD tracing.

Responsibilities

• Define system boundaries and standard APIs as the technical authority across drone programs.
• Architect open, extensible MOSA baselines and manage ICDs with NDAA compliance.
• Lead end-to-end UAV platform design, integration of avionics, propulsion, payloads, and power systems.
• Drive SWaP-C optimization and MBSE workflows for requirement verification and tracing.
• Interface with government and commercial customers for high-impact proposals and reviews.
