Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Drainage Project Engineer in Meridian, Idaho, with 7–9 years of drainage and stormwater experience to lead design and delivery of infrastructure projects. This role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering practical, buildable solutions for public and private sector clients.

You will design drainage systems, review reports, perform hydrologic modeling, and ensure compliance with local and national standards while communicating

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of progressive drainage and stormwater experience.
• PE licensure; actively pursuing licensure acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage design.
• Experience with public and private sector clients.
• Ability to interpret survey and geotechnical reports.
• Familiar with codes, standards, and approvals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, problem-solving, detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of stormwater, drainage, and flood mitigation systems.
• Prepare drainage reports, calculations, plans, and specs.
• Model hydrology and hydraulics with industry software.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage project components from concept to construction support.
• Support proposals, scope definition, and business development.
• Mentor junior staff and review work for quality.
