Job summary

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a Drainage Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our team in Virginia. You will design stormwater systems, perform hydraulic analyses, and ensure compliance with VDOT and regulatory standards.

The role offers relocation/remote-friendly opportunities across multiple Virginia locations and includes a $10K sign-on bonus. PE licensure or EIT with plan to obtain PE is preferred; strong collaboration and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 4+ years of drainage design experience.
• PE license or EIT with intent to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design stormwater management systems and drainage for transportation projects.
• Manage hydraulic design elements on wide-range VDOT/locality tasks.
• Assist with environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Review erosion/sediment control designs and ensure conformance.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and VDOT personnel.
• Prepare drainage calculations and technical reports for submissions.
