Kelly Science & Clinical in California is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Process Development Downstream for a contract-to-hire role in Tustin. You will provide laboratory support for downstream development, act as SME/technical lead, and work with monoclonal antibodies and related biologics across chromatography, filtration, buffer formulation, scale-up, and tech transfer.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, with 3–4 years biopharmaceutical experience
• Strong knowledge of downstream processing principles, experimental design, data analysis, and bioprocess development methodologies

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and technical lead for downstream process development and purification of biologics
• Lead downstream process development studies including chromatography screening, optimization and scale-up
• Perform and oversee in-process and routine analytical testing (A280, HPLC)
• Independently execute downstream unit operations using chromatography systems and filtration equipment
• Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing operations with robust buffer strategies
