Job summary

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation seeks a Donor Relations Associate or Senior Donor Relations Associate in the Office of Advancement commensurate with experience. The selected candidate will support the office in executing all programs and events for the Advancement Office (approx.

100 events a year) and will assist with all donor stewardship efforts. As such, this position requires frequent evening and occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to represent The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with a high degree of professionalism
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• Tact, diplomacy, and discretion with donors and staff
• Flexibility with evenings and weekends
• Proficiency in Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events for the Advancement office, including openings, cultivation and stewardship events, and membership programs
• Manage stewardship and benefit delivery for donors
• Ensure donor activities are inclusive and support diversification of the donor base
• Coordinate fundraising events and groups like The Council of VMFA and Canvas Advisory Committee
• Support RSVP tracking in Raiser's Edge NXT and Zkipster
• Support the Member Travel Program communications and website updates
• Work with the Director of Donor Relations on development activities and board coordination
• Assist the Director of Donor Relations as needed
• Lead projects on events, stewardship, and budget tracking within the donor relations team
• Lead invitation and publications process for Advancement events from design to mailing
