The position requires a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in development communications, with exceptional writing and discretion handling donor data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience in development and principal giving communications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience interacting with leadership and stakeholders.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and ability to adapt style and voice for varied audiences.
• High discretion with donor data and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish strong working relationships with research programs and centers to create compelling cases for support and impact reports.
• Serve as lead Donor Relations writer for impact reports on high-priority initiatives and gifts.
• Collaborate with University-wide communications to announce principal gifts and tell donor stories.
• Ensure content accuracy to reflect donor intent and school priorities among principal and major gift donors.
• Create bespoke, personalized material for individual donors while advising on scalable content production.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple high-profile projects with high-quality output.
• Travel for alumni and donor events as needed.
