Job summary

KARL STORZ SE & Co. KG is seeking an Application Security Engineer III in Stafford, Texas. This role involves leading cybersecurity compliance and secure product development to maintain DoD Authorization to Operate (ATO) certifications.

As a technical lead, you will partner with various teams to ensure products meet cybersecurity requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a firm grasp of regulatory compliance and secure software practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience (4+ years with a Master's degree).
• Hands-on experience with DoD RMF, STIGs, SCAP tools, and POA&M management.
• Knowledge of NIST frameworks, including NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain DoD Authorization to Operate (ATO) certifications.
• Verify cybersecurity requirements through testing and validation activities.
• Design and maintain DevSecOps pipelines with automated security testing.
