Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Server Administrator to join our team in Quantico, VA. The role supports mission-critical DoW IT infrastructure, installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing Linux-based servers on classified/unclassified networks to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with 7 years IT experience; 10 years without a degree.
• Minimum 3 years progressive Linux systems administration in enterprise/DoD context.
• IAT Level II baseline certification requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Active Linux OS certification (RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of AD, IAM, NFS, DNS, LDAP, and secure protocols (SSH).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux OSs (RHEL/Ubuntu) in physical/VMware environments.
• Apply STIGs, manage patches (IAVAs/IAVBs), and RMF compliance.
• Provide Tier II/III support for hardware, software, and network config issues.
• Develop automation scripts with Bash, Python, and Ansible to streamline tasks.
• Create and maintain SOPs, system diagrams, and CM logs.
