Job summary

SAIC is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Analyst – Wasatch ISSE to safeguard classified systems at Hill AFB, Utah. You will design secure architectures, drive RMF compliance, and lead risk‑based security initiatives in collaboration with ISSM and mission stakeholders.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, BoE artifact management, incident response, and security tooling optimization across both classified and related unclassified environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active final Secret clearance required on date of hire with DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II or IAM Level I certification (or higher).
• Experience leading large‑scale security projects or programs; defense or aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience designing secure network architectures, including Zero Trust and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong background with NIST 800‑53/800‑171, ISO 27001, CMMC, or SOC 2 and conducting risk, vulnerability, and security control assessments.
• Expert knowledge of security tooling (SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, Nessus, Qualys) and CI/CD security integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architectures for classified systems, ensuring DoD compliance.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and security audits with mitigation guidance.
• Develop and maintain BoE artifacts (SSP, POAM, ST&E) for RMF accreditation activities.
• Lead or support incident response and digital forensics for high‑severity events and drive corrective actions.
• Utilize SIEM/EDR/XDR and scanners to monitor, detect, and remediate threats across classified and unclassified environments.
• Translate mission needs into a security roadmap and communicate risks to leadership.
