AMSG is seeking a Sr Writer to support the Army MEDCOM with precision program communications. The role includes writing command-grade speeches, news releases, and briefings for government audiences across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications with eight years of writing/authorship experience.
• Ability to write command-level speeches and articles.
• Author content including feature writing, minimal copywriting, news releases, and briefings.
• Knowledge of industry and government writing standards—AP style and Army Regulation 360-1.
• Citizenship: US

Responsibilities

• Develops tailored outreach campaigns and strategic communications plans for high-visibility government events.
• Interview subjects on MEDCOM topics to author cohesive, multi-platform content (speeches, features, briefings, social media).
• Evaluate campaign performance and provide status reporting with metrics.
