Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. seeks a Sr DNS Engineer to join the DNS Operations team. The role focuses on 24x7 production DNS support for the Salesforce public cloud, incident management, root-cause analysis, and proactive maintenance.

You will work with Linux systems, Python tooling, and cloud platforms to keep Hyperforce DNS resilient. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud architecture, strong networking/dns knowledge, and experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Architecture.
• Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong Python and OOP skills.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, Spinnaker).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for Hyperforce DNS issues and determine root causes.
• Perform proactive maintenance, builds, decommissioning, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve service stability and reduce outages.
• Drive service ownership of the DNS Cloud and improve incident handling and automation.
