Job summary

Ballard Marine Construction in Baltimore, MD seeks a Dive Supervisor to lead planning and execution of commercial diving on complex marine projects. You will direct the dive team, make critical field decisions, and ensure operations are properly planned, staffed, and safe.

This role collaborates with Operations, project leadership, clients, and craft teams to deliver underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair work in challenging environments; willingness to lead from the front

Qualifications

Requires ADCI-compliant diving school and ADCI Dive Supervisor certification.
Must hold First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration certifications.
OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required; Nitrox endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all commercial diving operations, including underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair.
Plan each dive, assign team responsibilities, conduct pre-dive briefings, and maintain operational control.
Ensure dive personnel, equipment, life-support systems, and surface support are qualified, compliant, and ready for the planned operation.
Coordinate with Operations, project leadership, clients, and field crews during active marine construction.
