Job summary

The Walt Disney Company (France) is seeking a Senior Distribution Operations Manager to own end-to-end delivery of Disney+ content globally across Originals, Trailers, Podcasts, and ESPN content. You will ensure titles are technically accurate, validated, and launched on time with cost efficiency.

  • Identify operational gaps; propose workflow/tool improvements; contribute to “cheaper, faster, better” improvement initiatives.
  • Use operational data, performance metrics, budget guardrails and OKRs to increase velocity, influence decision making, drive efficiency and ensure delivery within cost targets.

Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary:

The Senior Distribution Operations Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for independently driving end-to-end operational delivery of Disney+ content globally across multiple pipelines including Originals, Trailers & Special Looks, Podcasts, and ESPN content. This role ensures every title is technically accurate, validated, conforming to platform specification, cost efficient, and launched on-time for global Sunrise.

This role requires excellent judgment under ambiguity, ability to solve highly complex operational issues with minimal supervision, and ability to operate as the subject matter expert on title readiness. The Sr Distribution Operations Manager is expected to anticipate problems before they impact launch timelines, lead cross-functional troubleshooting, and build scalable repeatable solutions that prevent recurrence. This role will also proactively identify workflow opportunities that bring improved cost efficiency, timeline compression, tooling enhancements, reduced friction between internal teams, and higher quality outcomes.

This role is highly visible and will frequently interface with senior leaders across Content Platforms & Operations, D+ Programming, Studio Operations, and Localization organizations — including preparing executive-level operational readouts, incident summaries, sunrise risk forecasting, portfolio launch reporting, and performance trend insights. The ideal candidate is data-driven, structured, calm under pressure, and able to influence decisions without direct authority.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
  • 7 years of experience in digital distribution, streaming operations, studio post/localization servicing, or similar content operations functions.
  • Strong understanding of digital supply chain delivery workflows and streaming technical specifications.
  • Proven track record of driving operational execution under tight deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating across diverse internal and vendor teams.
  • Strong problem solving, prioritization, communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to balance technical and business considerations in decision-making.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience servicing global content delivery for streaming platform
  • Knowledge of localization workflows and global dubbing/subtitling servicing
  • Experience operationalizing OKRs, KPIs, or SLA dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Disney’s internal systems (e.g., Wonderland, DOT/ADOPT)
  • Demonstrated use of data-driven metrics and OKRs to evaluate and improve vendor and team performance.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $115,300 to $140,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
