Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr Disability Representative to support complex disability claims in a hybrid, on-site and remote-capable environment in Southfield, MI. You’ll review medical documentation, determine benefits due, and coordinate with medical advisors to ensure accurate determinations.

In this role you’ll manage complex cases, communicate with claimants and providers, and ensure timely payments while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Three (3) years of benefits or disability case/claims management experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Makes independent claim determinations and approves complex disability claims or recommends denial.
• Reviews and analyzes medical information to determine disability per the plan.
• Negotiates return to work with or without accommodations; coordinates referrals to outside vendors.
