Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd Disability Representative Sr position involves managing disability claims, reviewing complex medical documentation, and determining benefits under the applicable plan. You will coordinate payments, communicate with providers, and make timely decisions about benefits and adjustments.

You will negotiate return-to-work arrangements, coordinate investigations, and refer cases to outside vendors or physician advisors as needed while upholding client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Three years of benefits or disability claims management experience.
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations and disability processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, approves and authorizes assigned claims and determines benefits due pursuant to a disability plan.
• Reviews and analyzes complex medical information to determine if the claimant is disabled as defined by the disability plan.
• Communicates with claimants and providers regarding return to work and related requirements.
• Coordinates investigations and referrals to outside vendors or physician advisors as needed.
• Negotiates return-to-work with or without job accommodations via the claimant's physician and employer.
• Maintains professional client relationships and supports quality programs.
