Qualifications

• Experience with statutory or GAAP accounting standards in the insurance or financial services industries.
• Highly analytical, with strong data analysis and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership in people and change management.
• Experience with internal controls for Model Audit Rule or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance preferred.
• Proven leadership in project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the monthly close process and ensures accurate financial reporting for the investment product subsidiaries.
• Provides QA review for financial statements and analysis across products, systems and processes.
• Leads development and improvement of finance capabilities aligned to department goals.
• Manages relationships with external partners relating to the financial close.
• Advances automation, controls and streamlined accounting processes to support regulatory reporting.
