Qualifications

• Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD, DVM) in toxicology or a closely related biological science, along with 15+ years of experience, or a Master’s Degree plus 20+ years, working in toxicology/safety assessment, drug development, or a contract research organization.
• Significant experience or training in the development of biologic therapeutics.
• Board Certification in Toxicology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge of pharmacology, toxicology, and related disciplines to design and implement preclinical safety programs.
• Writes and/or reviews regulatory documents (INDs, BLAs) to support program development.
• Provides consultative toxicology support to scientists in other functions and mentors junior staff.
• Maintains understanding of industry trends and regulatory requirements across regions.
• May recruit, interview, and hire new scientific staff to meet department needs.
