Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and elevate our end-to-end supply chain organization. This leader will shape the strategy and execution behind planning, procurement, strategic sourcing, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, supplier performance, and material execution—ensuring our teams deliver the quality, affordability, schedule performance, and reliability our customers expect.

In this highly visible role, you will partner across operations, manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality, contracts, and program management to strengthen supply continuity, reduce risk, improve performance, and support scalable growth. You will also lead the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) process, integrating demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial plans into clear, actionable decisions.

What you'll do:
Lead Supply Chain Strategy and Performance
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational direction for supply chain functions, including strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, and related operations.
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking supply chain strategy aligned with business priorities, customer commitments, operational objectives, and financial targets.
  • Establish meaningful performance metrics, governance, and continuous-improvement initiatives that drive stronger execution across the organization.
  • Lead supply chain strategy from proposal development and sourcing through production support, material fulfillment, and lifecycle/obsolescence management.
  • Drive initiatives that improve cost, quality, delivery, lead time, material availability, and supply chain resilience.
Own SI&OP Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate the SI&OP process to align demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial plans.
  • Partner with business leaders to improve forecast accuracy, support production planning, and optimize inventory investment.
  • Translate SI&OP outcomes into practical sourcing, planning, and material-execution decisions.
  • Build the metrics, processes, and decision forums needed to proactively balance supply and demand in a dynamic business environment.
Strengthen Sourcing and Supplier Performance
  • Lead sourcing strategy development and execution to ensure supply continuity, competitiveness, compliance, and long-term supplier performance.
  • Establish disciplined supplier-selection and proposal-evaluation processes, including technical evaluation and cost/price analysis.
  • Oversee strategic supplier relationships, subcontract development, negotiation support, and risk-mitigation planning throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Hold suppliers accountable to quality, cost, delivery, service, and contract-compliance expectations while fostering productive, strategic partnerships.
What you'll do (continued):
Drive Cross-Functional Business Integration
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, contracts, logistics, and program leadership to ensure supply chain strategies enable successful business and program execution.
  • Support proposal development, new product introduction, production execution, and obsolescence planning with effective supply chain strategies and controls.
  • Communicate supply chain performance, risks, recovery plans, and strategic priorities clearly to executives, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure Compliance and Governance
  • Ensure supply chain activities comply with applicable government, corporate, and company requirements.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFARS, export-control, and contracting requirements.
  • Strengthen governance, documentation, policies, procedures, and controls across procurement and supply chain operations.
Build a High-Performing Team
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain organization built on accountability, collaboration, trust, and continuous learning.
  • Build organizational capability through workforce planning, coaching, succession planning, performance management, and professional development.
  • Create an inclusive environment that challenges teams to achieve higher levels of performance while supporting individual growth.
What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in the aerospace and defense industry, including responsibility for planning, procurement, sourcing, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, end-to-end supply chain activities in an aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain tools, processes, performance management, and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, manufacturing, inventory management, logistics, and program execution.
  • Strong understanding of DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFARS requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence at all levels, drive organizational change, and solve complex operational and business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, conflict-resolution, and relationship-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP , or equivalent.
  • Experience leading or transforming an integrated SI&OP process in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience guiding supply chain organizations through significant growth, transformation, or operational-recovery efforts.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The salary range for this position is $168,507/year-$227,484.00/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
