Jobbeschreibung

We Are Teva

We’re Teva, a leading innovative biopharmaceutical company, enabled by a world-class generics business. Whether it’s innovating in the fields of neuroscience and immunology or delivering high-quality medicine worldwide, we’re dedicated to addressing patients’ needs now and in the future. Here, you will be part of a high-performing, inclusive culture that values fresh thinking and collaboration. You'll have the room to grow, the flexibility to balance life with work, and the opportunity to better health worldwide, together.

Our Team, Your Impact

The Senior Director, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is a senior leader within the ExM Strategic Operational Unit, accountable for the end-to-end performance, governance, resilience and strategic development of an assigned portfolio of critical external manufacturing partners.

The role operates as the business owner and virtual plant leader for the portfolio, integrating Supply Chain, Quality, MS&T, Procurement, Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, Business Development and R&D to secure reliable supply, maintain compliance, improve cost and service performance, and enable sustainable growth. This role will be expected to lead a larger than usual cross-functional supplier relationship team given the increased scope, size, complexity and criticality of the allocated portfolio.

The incumbent will establish trusted, executive-level relationships with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs/CDMOs), convert enterprise priorities into supplier-specific strategies and operating plans, and lead resolution of complex supply, quality, technical, contractual and commercial issues. Given the increased criticality of the deliverables, the role is expected to balance near-term operational delivery with longer-term network, capacity, risk and value-creation priorities.

This position may include direct people leadership. Pending final organization design, the incumbent must be capable of leading and developing direct reports while continuing to lead broad cross-functional teams through influence in a global matrix.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
1. Portfolio Ownership, Supply Assurance & Business Delivery
  • Own end-to-end performance of critical external partners, products and supply flows.
  • Secure reliable, compliant, timely supply at required quality and optimal total cost; recover gaps against supply plans.
  • Act as senior business owner and escalation point, driving rapid decisions and coordinated recovery.
  • Translate ExM priorities into supplier plans, targets, resources, milestones and outcomes.
  • Deliver product introductions, technology/site transfers, scale-ups and lifecycle changes.
2. Supplier Strategy, Governance & Executive Relationships
  • Set supplier strategies based on value, fit, capability, capacity, financial health, risk and future needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with CMO/CDMO leaders, shopfloor teams and internal stakeholders; represent Teva with authority and judgment.
  • Lead SRTs, operating reviews, QBRs and executive forums using clear ownership, timelines, KPIs and follow-through.
  • Resolve conflicts while protecting supply, compliance, contractual rights and long-term value.
  • Manage relationships across cultures and geographies, enabling growth, value capture and durable partnerships.
3. Performance Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Manage service, quality, cost, delivery, technical execution and responsiveness; govern improvement plans.
  • Improve yield, cycle time, right-first-time, throughput, inventory, cost-to-serve and operating discipline.
  • Sponsor cross-CMO standardization, operational excellence, digital performance management and best-practice sharing.
  • Coach cross-functional teams and strengthen virtual plant management.
4. Risk, Quality, Compliance & Business Continuity
  • Maintain an integrated view of supply, quality, compliance, capacity, technology, financial, geopolitical and single-source risks.
  • Execute mitigation and continuity plans covering scenarios, alternate sourcing, redundancy, safety stock, capacity buffers and recovery.
  • With Quality and technical teams, govern cGMP, quality agreements, investigations, CAPAs, inspections and remediation.
  • Escalate material risks promptly with options, recommendations and trade-offs.
5. Commercial, Contract & Network Value
  • With Procurement, shape negotiations, contracts, service levels, performance clauses, risk sharing and supplier development.
  • Provide operational input to supply agreements and recommend changes for business, performance, risk and strategy needs.
  • Support partner selection/onboarding and sourcing, make-buy, footprint, capacity and lifecycle decisions.
  • Drive COGS, yield, conversion-cost, working-capital and cost-to-serve improvements with Finance and Procurement.
  • Engage Commercial, BD and R&D early in sourcing, pipeline, launch and lifecycle decisions.
6. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead senior global, cross-functional teams through influence, creating clarity, pace and accountability.
  • Communicate risks, scenarios, financial/supply implications, recommendations and decisions crisply to executives.
  • Represent the portfolio in ExM, S&OP, portfolio, quality, risk and supply forums.
  • Where applicable, set objectives, coach talent, manage performance and succession, and build an inclusive, accountable culture.
  • Model Teva values; comply with Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality, Compliance and company policies; perform other assigned duties.
Your Skills and Experience
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business or a related field required.
  • Master's degree, MBA or advanced technical/scientific degree strongly preferred.
Experience
  • Typically 15+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Significant experience in external manufacturing, supplier relationship management, site operations, supply operations, quality, MS&T, procurement or an adjacent discipline; direct on-site manufacturing experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value supplier or CMO/CDMO portfolios and delivering measurable improvements in supply, quality, service, cost and risk.
  • Proven experience leading senior cross-functional teams in a global matrix and influencing executives internally and externally.

  • Executive-level communication, relationship management, negotiation, conflict resolution and advanced presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical judgment and ability to operate decisively under pressure, uncertainty and ambiguity.
