Job summary

NFL Players Association (NFLPA) seeks a Senior Director, Strategy and Operations in Washington, DC. You will lead strategic planning, performance management, and cross-functional integration across Benefits, Former Players, and the Gene Upshaw Fund, reporting to the CPAO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in business/management/nonprofit leadership.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, operations, or nonprofit/sports administration.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change.
• Experience translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes and operational execution.
• Experience developing performance metrics, dashboards, and analytics.
• Experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Programs function within Player Affairs.
• Drive operational alignment across Wellness, Benefits, Former Players, and related funds and partnerships.
• Develop performance measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes across the department.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure programs remain integrated and impactful.
• Build and maintain external partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
