Senior security leader responsible for strategy and execution of a multi-function technical security portfolio at an enterprise SaaS company. Qualifications

• 12+ years in security engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years leading security organizations including managers and senior leaders.
• Track record delivering outcomes across multiple security functions.
• Strong grounding in application security, cloud security, detection and response, and vulnerability management.
• Experience partnering with Engineering, Product, IT, GRC, Legal, and Finance leaders to enable secure business outcomes.
• Ability to advise executives and Boards on posture, risk, and investment tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year security engineering strategy aligned to business priorities, customer trust, and defined risk appetite.
• Build and prioritize a security portfolio with clear owners, sequencing, milestones, and measurable outcomes across product, platform, and application security.
• Lead and develop managers and senior technical leaders spanning detection and response, vulnerability management, and incident readiness.
• Establish operating mechanisms that improve accountability, execution visibility, and delivery predictability, and resolve missed commitments, blockers, and priority conflicts.
• Mature detection and response, cloud and platform security, vulnerability management, and post-incident resilience programs that address systemic risk.
• Drive an AI-forward roadmap for security automation, operations, and decision support, and own organizational planning, budget, vendor strategy, and headcount investment.
• Advise executive and Board stakeholders on security posture, material risks, priorities, and tradeoffs.

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the role partners across Engineering, Product, IT, GRC, Legal, Finance, and customer-facing teams to embed security architecture into how products are built and shipped, scale protection through automation, and elevate the organization's use of AI across security operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year Security Engineering strategy aligned to business priorities, customer trust, and defined risk appetite.

• Experience partnering with Engineering, Product, IT, GRC, Legal, and Finance leaders to enable secure business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to advise executives and Boards on posture, risk, and investment tradeoffs.

• US base salary range of $220,000–$300,000 at start of employment, determined by location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity, with a broader total compensation package that may include variable pay and equity.
