Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Risk Adjustment Market Performance to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This senior leadership role will drive enterprise risk adjustment performance across multiple business lines, with a strong emphasis on improving coding accuracy, documentation quality, and measurable market outcomes. The position serves as a key connector between enterprise and market leadership, aligning risk initiatives with provider engagement and value-based care strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep healthcare operations and analytics expertise, along with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $134,600 – $249,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between enterprise and market leadership on risk adjustment initiatives.
  • Lead strategies to enhance risk adjustment performance across multiple business lines.
  • Establish performance targets for coding accuracy and documentation quality.
  • Identify strategic partners to support risk adjustment improvement efforts.
  • Build executive relationships with providers to align risk initiatives with value-based care strategies.
  • Direct collaboration among cross-functional teams to optimize performance.
  • Develop reporting tools to track outcomes and drive continuous performance improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, Public Health, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare operations, risk adjustment, managed care, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives required.
  • 5+ years of experience presenting to executive leadership required.
  • Proven expertise in risk adjustment operations and healthcare analytics required.
  • Knowledge of provider engagement and value-based care preferred.
  • PMP or a related healthcare operations certification preferred.
