Job summary

Our client in Oklahoma City seeks a Director of Real Estate & Development to maximize portfolio performance and drive new investments, development, and relationships. Leading a ~15-person team, you will oversee leasing, asset management, and due diligence from feasibility to delivery.

Reporting to the President, this role combines development, asset management, and acquisitions with a hands-on leadership style and deep market networks across Oklahoma, Texas, and the Sun Belt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in portfolio acquisitions, joint ventures, or development.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on a multi-asset operating platform.
• Proficiency with Argus, CoStar, Crexi/LoopNet and Yardi or MRI.
• Strong underwriting, due diligence, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of current holdings to maximize occupancy and NOI with clear asset plans.
• Originate and underwrite new investments, including off‑market and joint ventures.
• Drive development initiatives from feasibility through stabilization and delivery.
• Oversee acquisitions, dispositions, and major leases; manage closings.
• Present investment recommendations and capital expenditure programs to ownership.
• Build a regional network of owners, lenders, brokers, and tenants.
• Oversee property management, facilities, and engineering for operations.
• Lead a 15-person team; set priorities and develop talent.
• Monitor market conditions in OKC, TX, and Sun Belt.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and ownership reporting.
• Represent ownership with tenants, officials, lenders, and partners.
