Job summary

Septerna, a South San Francisco biotechnology company, seeks an experienced Director of Program Management to drive programs from early development through lifecycle management, ensuring high-quality execution with scientific and development leaders.

You will lead end-to-end program planning, risk management, and governance, coordinating across disciplines in a fast-paced environment onsite in South San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

Advanced degree relevant to drug discovery/development; Ph.D./PharmD/MBA preferred.
Minimum 10-15+ years in biotech/pharma; PM experience in late-stage development.
Experience in endocrinology, inflammation/immunology, or CNS drug development.
Experience managing small molecule discovery projects from early stage to NDA and PM.
Proficient with PM tools including Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

Lead program management for development programs through lifecycle management.
Define program strategy with cross-functional teams and translate into executable plans.
Identify and manage program risks, assumptions, interdependencies; mitigate accordingly.
Escalate risks with clear options and recommendations for decision-makers.
Prepare materials for internal/external meetings (team, abstracts, posters, board meetings).
