Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Director, Program Director for Ground Maneuver to lead the end-to-end development of unmanned ground systems and soldier platforms. You will drive integration, ensure schedule and cost controls, and partner with Army and Marine Corps stakeholders to field capabilities.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage risk, and implement processes to accelerate delivery while maintaining regulatory and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience managing the development of complex electromechanical or vehicle-based systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar, high-volume hardware deliveries and driving their on-time, on-budget completion.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to move between tactical and 30,000 ft level.
• Experience coordinating multiple internal and external teams within a complex engineering or technology-focused organization.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience assisting in budget creation and process cost optimization.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Senior Director, Program Director — Ground Maneuver

• In partnership with leadership, engineering and manufacturing teams, own the development and deployment of Anduril’s groundbreaking ground maneuver systems — unmanned ground vehicles, robotic platforms, and soldier-borne hardware — to meet the operational needs of the Department of War
• Own the integration of communications, computing, sensors, and effectors onto Anduril’s ground platforms — driving interface definitions, SWaP-C budgets, spectrum and EMI deconfliction, and open-architecture compliance so the system fields as one capability rather than a set of subsystems
• Lead a team of program managers who will develop and adhere to strict schedules, cost constraints, and regulatory requirements, with an emphasis on coordinating between multiple hardware production and platform integration teams, managing supply chains, and ensuring that quality, environmental qualification, and delivery commitments are met
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with Anduril’s partners and DoW customers, including Army and Marine Corps program offices and the operational units they equip, ensuring we have tight feedback loops that enable us to shape solutions, rapidly iterate, and ultimately field solutions faster
• Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, customers, and third-party corporate partners to own successful delivery of outcomes on multiple programs simultaneously
• Develop and implement lightweight processes, tools, and metrics for program planning, scope management, risk management, and customer communication to enable Anduril to move rapidly
• Own the program’s path through government test and evaluation — soldier touchpoints, mobility and live-fire trials, and environmental qualification — and convert operator feedback into design and production changes on short cycles
• Be high ownership on all pieces of work and become a trusted partner and advisor to Anduril’s business leaders and engineers
• Foster a creative, high-performance culture within the team, and proactively assess team skills versus needs, identifying personnel development and/or recruitment opportunities to strengthen the team’s capabilities
• Collaborate with finance and business development teams to develop proposal responses for describing technical solutions and novel pricing strategies for proposals that set Anduril up for long term financial and operational success
• Partner with business development and capture teams to grow the Ground Maneuver portfolio — shaping requirements and program strategy with DoW program offices, other USG stakeholders, and the operational units they equip, and identifying the contract vehicles, transition paths, and funding lines that turn prototypes into programs of record
• Partner with Business Line leadership and adjacent Anduril businesses and support organizations to grow the business with allied and partner nations — supporting international demonstrations, coalition exercises, and user assessments, and working with capture, trade compliance, and engineering teams on exportable configurations and FMS/DCS pursuits that extend Anduril’s ground systems to allied formations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• In-depth knowledge of ground vehicles, robotics, or other ruggedized electromechanical products, and hands-on experience with integrated hardware and software systems
• Knowledge of integrating radios and waveforms, edge compute, EO/IR or RF sensors, and effector payloads onto a common platform, including open architecture standards such as MOSA, CMOSS, or SOSA
• Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with hardware and software development teams
• Demonstrated experience in establishing information dominance in challenging situations by synthesizing communication streams from both internal multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Direct experience with ground combat, tactical vehicle, or soldier equipment programs, particularly Army or Marine Corps operational experience that translates to customer operations
• Experience working within the bounds of a DoW contract vehicle
• Experience supporting business development and capture for DoW, broader USG, or allied programs — requirements shaping, proposal and demonstration support, and familiarity with international sales pathways such as FMS/DCS and associated export control requirements
• Familiarity with the JCIDS process and its application in ongoing project development
• Familiarity with ground platform qualification and safety release processes, including MIL-STD-810 environmental and MIL-STD-461 EMI testing
