Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC seeks a strategic Head of Origination to lead long-term power agreements and commercial partnerships for ARC fusion plants. You will build relationships with utilities and anchor customers, shaping market entry and contract structures that enable scalable, bankable projects.

You will collaborate with development, finance, legal, and engineering teams to align deals with economics, risk, and deployment timelines, while mentoring a high-performing origination team.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher with substantial energy industry experience.
• Experience originating and closing long-term PPAs or similar contracts.
• Strong understanding of North American wholesale power markets and market rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of long-term PPAs and related contracts for ARC fusion power plants.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with anchor customers, utilities, and large buyers.
• Shape wholesale/retail origination strategy to secure contracted revenue streams for project financing.
• Provide commercial leadership during procurement processes, solicitations, and RFP responses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align customer needs with project economics and deployment strategy.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing origination team.
