Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an experienced Senior Director to lead the PMO for its Private Cloud & Flex Solutions. This role manages a 25-30 person PMO, overseeing end-to-end program execution and cross-functional initiatives across product lines and global teams.

The position can be based in Houston, TX; Fort Collins, CO; or Andover, MA. You will drive governance, lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and executive reporting to enable predictable delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in large-scale technical program management, product or engineering operations, or business operations within complex technology environments.
• 5+ years of proven leadership managing managers, senior contributors, or distributed teams, preferably in cloud, software, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of transforming or running a PMO in fast-paced, multi-product organizations.
• Deep expertise in program governance, portfolio prioritization, risk management, dependency resolution, and executive reporting.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and cloud/software delivery practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize the PMO governance, operating rhythms, and executive reporting to ensure predictable delivery and transparency.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of products from conception through end-of-life, ensuring phase-gate discipline and accountability.
• Partner closely with engineering, product management, sales, support, and supply chain to align priorities, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
• Develop executive-ready dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to provide clear visibility into project health, risks, and business outcomes.
• Drive continuous process improvements in dependency management, escalation procedures, and cross-BU coordination.
• Represent the PMO in cross-functional planning forums, ensuring commitments and timelines are actively managed.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a global team, fostering a culture of execution, transparency, and customer focus.
