Position Overview

The Senior Director of Performance Insights will report to the Group Vice President, Strategic Insights & Analytics and serve as a key leader responsible for transforming business performance data into actionable executive insights.

This leader will oversee enterprise performance analytics, executive reporting, KPI management, and business performance storytelling across customer, commercial, operational, and financial functions. The role will partner closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Product, Technology, and Operations leadership to identify performance drivers, uncover risks and opportunities, and help leadership make faster, more informed decisions.

The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of analytical rigor, business acumen, and executive communication skills. They will be expected to move beyond traditional reporting by translating complex data into clear business narratives that explain what happened, why it happened, what it means, and what actions should be taken.

Position Responsibilities:
Enterprise Performance Analytics
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of the company’s most critical customer, commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.
  • Establish a trusted and consistent view of enterprise performance across growth, retention, revenue, product, customer, and operational metrics.
  • Identify emerging trends, performance risks, and growth opportunities while distinguishing short-term fluctuations from meaningful structural changes.
  • Develop analytical frameworks that provide clear visibility into the drivers of business performance.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to understand performance outcomes and identify recommended corrective actions.
  • Evaluate performance across markets, customer segments, sales channels, products, and operational functions.
Executive Reporting and Insights
  • Own the development of executive scorecards, dashboards, and business reviews that serve as the organization’s primary source of truth.
  • Ensure executive reporting clearly explains the drivers, implications, and recommended actions behind business results rather than simply presenting metrics.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop performance narratives that support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver concise, actionable insights that simplify complex business issues and clearly communicate risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs.
  • Support Executive Leadership Team reviews through recurring analyses, performance reporting, and ad hoc decision support.
Data Storytelling and Business Partnership
  • Translate large, complex datasets into compelling business narratives that influence decisions and drive action.
  • Communicate analytical findings effectively to senior executives and business leaders.
  • Anticipate leadership questions and proactively develop insights that address key business concerns.
  • Help establish a culture where performance discussions focus on drivers, implications, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Product, Operations, and Technology.
Data Visualization and Reporting Infrastructure
  • Lead the design and enhancement of executive dashboards and analytical reporting environments.
  • Develop scalable reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, and other visualization platforms.
  • Establish reporting standards and visualization best practices that improve clarity, consistency, and usability.
  • Partner with Data Warehouse and Technology teams to improve data accessibility, reporting automation, and data quality.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual effort while improving analytical value.
Advanced Insights and Performance Management
  • Develop forward-looking analytical capabilities that move the organization beyond historical reporting toward proactive performance management.
  • Support forecasting, scenario planning, trend analysis, and executive decision-support activities.
  • Leverage advanced analytics techniques to identify leading indicators of customer, commercial, and operational performance.
  • Help create a disciplined performance-management framework that links business results to accountability, action plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled insights and automation capabilities that improve analytical efficiency and decision quality.
Organizational Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and insights professionals.
  • Foster a culture of analytical excellence, intellectual curiosity, business partnership, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear prioritization processes to ensure analytical resources are focused on the business’s highest-value opportunities.
  • Mentor team members in analytics, data visualization, executive communication, and business storytelling.
  • Drive a culture where insights lead to action and measurable business impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, insights, strategy, finance, performance management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience within telecommunications, broadband, wireless, technology, media, or subscription-based businesses preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience querying, validating, and analyzing large and complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated expertise with business intelligence and data visualization platforms including Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, scorecards, and recurring business performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of customer, operational, commercial, and financial performance metrics.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analysis in a concise and compelling manner.

  • Exceptional storyteller who can translate complex data into clear and compelling narratives
  • Strong executive presence and credibility with senior leaders
  • Commercially minded and focused on business impact
  • Collaborative and influential across functions
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions through data and fact-based analysis
  • Proactive, action-oriented, and focused on measurable outcomes

  • Strengthen executive business reviews by connecting performance results to ownership, action plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Increase the quality and consistency of KPI reporting across business functions.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that reduce reporting complexity while improving insight generation.
  • Enhance the organization’s ability to identify risks and opportunities before they materially affect performance.
  • Improve leadership decision-making through faster, more proactive, and more actionable insights.
