12 Plus in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Senior Director of People & Organizational Development to strengthen internal operations and support employees as the nonprofit scales.

You will lead HR initiatives, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership on policies, employee programs, and expansion across locations, fostering a people-first workplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive human resources experience.
• Experience supporting organizational growth or scalable HR processes.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations.
• Experience developing or improving policies, procedures, and internal systems.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Senior Director of People & Organizational Development

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually

12+ is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to helping students discover their potential and prepare for success beyond high school. Serving more than 7,000 students annually across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, our organization continues to grow its reach and impact through meaningful partnerships with schools and communities.

As we expand, we're looking for a Senior Director of People & Organizational Development to help strengthen our internal operations, support our employees, and build the foundation for continued growth.

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building processes, solving problems, and helping organizations grow. You'll lead key HR initiatives while partnering with leadership to strengthen organizational policies, employee support, compliance, and people operations. We're looking for someone who brings strong HR fundamentals, sound judgment, and a people-first mindset. What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive human resources experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting organizational growth or implementing scalable HR processes.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations.
• Experience developing or improving policies, procedures, and internal systems.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a growing organization with limited resources.
• Interest in applying your HR expertise within a mission-driven nonprofit.
• Experience in corporate HR, nonprofit organizations, or growing businesses is welcome.
• $75,000–$80,000 annual base salary
