Responsibilities
  • Lead the transformation of traditional infrastructure services into scalable, secure, and resilient platform-based services that enable teaching, learning, research, and administrative excellence.
  • Drive the evolution of the university’s technology landscape toward cloud‑first, automation‑driven, and AI‑enabled capabilities while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission‑critical systems.
  • Partner across the university to enable digital transformation, data‑intensive research, and emerging technologies.
  • Support data‑intensive research and high‑performance computing needs.
  • Enable modern application development and integration environments.
  • Collaborate on cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance strategies.
  • Deliver reliable, customer‑centered infrastructure services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cloud adoption or infrastructure transformation.
  • Experience leading enterprise infrastructure or platform services teams.
  • Experience developing and operationalizing Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Experience in higher education or research environments strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading enterprise cloud transformation initiatives, including migration from legacy infrastructure to hybrid or cloud‑based environments.
  • Experience implementing automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering practices.
  • Experience supporting research computing, high‑performance computing (HPC), AI/ML infrastructure, or data‑intensive computing environments.
  • Experience managing cloud financial operations, technology lifecycle planning, or consumption‑based technology budgeting models.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, including modernization of technical teams, processes, and service delivery models.
  • Experience building collaborative partnerships across infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and customer support organizations.
  • Experience supporting complex higher education or similarly decentralized organizations with diverse stakeholder needs.
Compensation & Benefits

Time Base: Full‑time
Pay Plan: 12/12
Anticipated Hiring Range: Up to $176,412 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
Benefits: Tuition fee waiver (if eligible).
