Job description

About True Brands

True Brands is a leading designer and supplier of beverage, entertaining, and lifestyle products, including barware, drinkware, wine accessories, and consumable cocktail products. We serve customers ranging from independent retailers and specialty shops to major national accounts, along with our growing direct-to-consumer business.

Our Greenfield, Indiana distribution center is a critical part of that operation, handling warehousing, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, and value-added services for customers across the country.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Director of Operations & Logistics to lead the facility and help us continue improving how we work as the business grows.

What You'll Do

This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility for our Greenfield operation, including warehouse and fulfillment, inventory, outbound logistics, and our customization and value-added services teams.

We're looking for someone who wants to manage the operation onsite. You'll absolutely be responsible for strategy, budgets, labor planning, KPIs, and long-term improvements, but you'll also need to understand what's actually happening on the floor. The right person will be comfortable moving between a leadership meeting, reviewing operational data, coaching a manager, and walking the warehouse to help improve on flow and efficiency. You'll directly lead our Warehouse Director and Customization Manager, while providing overall leadership and direction for the teams reporting through them.

Operations & Logistics
  • Lead the overall operation of our Greenfield distribution center, including warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, outbound logistics, customization, and value-added services.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations around productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, service levels, safety, and overall operational performance.
  • Evaluate workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical improvements that increase throughput and reduce unnecessary cost or complexity.
  • Ensure we have the right staffing, equipment, processes, and systems in place to support both current volume and future growth.
  • Oversee labor planning, operating budgets, and capital needs for the facility.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Product Development, IT, and other teams to make sure operational priorities align with the needs of the broader business.
  • Lead planning and execution for seasonal peaks, major customer programs, new product launches, and other periods of increased operational demand.
  • Maintain strong standards for workplace safety, organization, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Directly manage and develop the Warehouse Director and Customization Manager, giving them the support and accountability needed to effectively lead their teams.
  • Build a strong leadership structure throughout the facility rather than becoming the person who has to personally solve every problem.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor and stay connected to the employees doing the work.
  • Create an environment where expectations are clear, problems are raised early, and managers and employees are comfortable suggesting better ways of doing things.
  • Hold leaders accountable for results while providing the coaching and resources necessary to get there.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources on staffing, employee development, performance management, safety, and employee relations.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has successfully led a complex warehouse or distribution operation and understands both the strategic and very practical sides of running one.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in distribution, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing operations, or a related environment, including significant leadership responsibility.
  • Experience leading a sizable distribution or fulfillment operation with responsibility for multiple departments or functions.
  • Strong experience with warehouse management systems, inventory control, labor planning, transportation, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience overseeing customization, kitting, print-on-demand, or other value-added services is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, productivity, accuracy, service levels, or operating costs.
  • Experience developing managers and building strong leadership teams.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing operating budgets, labor costs, and capital expenditures.
  • A practical, data-driven approach to continuous improvement. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is helpful, but we're much more interested in what you've actually improved than the terminology you use to describe it.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with everyone from warehouse associates to senior leadership.
  • A leadership style that is approachable, accountable, and comfortable being visible on the floor.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can see the bigger operational picture without losing sight of what is actually happening inside the building.

What We Offer:
  • $140,000 - $165,000 base salary plus a 15% annual performance bonus target
  • 40% employee discount
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, LTD, 401k with employer match
