Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, California is seeking a Senior Director of Medical Affairs to set and directly influence the Medical Affairs strategy for the Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) unit. You will lead the team to deliver clinical evidence and scientific communications to physicians, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in people management, and deep knowledge of cardiovascular disease states and therapies.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated track record in people management.

Responsibilities

• Direct medical affairs activities and lead team to deliver clinical evidence through publications and physician education.
• Develop and implement strategies for scientific communications and medical information support.
• Lead in medical information development to support appropriate product use and scientific exchange.
• Oversee scientific development and review of product claims.
• Develop and implement educational objectives and lead team for effective execution.
• Provide leadership for talent development and succession planning in Medical Affairs.
• Identify risks and coordinate cross-functional mitigation strategies with matrix teams.
• Plan and direct strategic activities to meet business objectives.
• Summarize recommendations for leadership and deliver executive-level communications.
