Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Phoenix is seeking a senior leader to own the Meat & Seafood category strategy and drive growth across stores. You will influence merchandising priorities, optimize pricing and promotions, and partner with suppliers to deliver exclusive opportunities.

We value deep category expertise, strong supplier relations, and the ability to translate analytics into actionable plans that improve sales, margin, and customer experience across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of progressive retail merchandising, category management, buying, or fresh food leadership experience; meat and/or seafood experience strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial leadership translating strategy into executable plans delivering sales, margin, shrink, and customer experience results.
• Ability to lead a fresh business with multiple operational touchpoints including sourcing, replenishment, distribution, store execution, quality, and food safety.
• Proven ability to build differentiated category strategies, simplify assortments, improve item productivity, and create a stronger customer reason to choose Sprouts.
• Strong understanding of meat and seafood categories, protein commodities, product specifications, quality standards, supplier capabilities, and seasonal demand.
• Strong analytical skills connecting financial, customer, competitive, commodity, and store-level insights into clear actions.
• Demonstrated strength in supplier strategy, negotiations, vendor accountability, cost management, and service-level improvement.
• Ability to influence across merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, operations, finance, marketing, ecommerce, analytics, and field leadership.
