Job summary

Reed College is seeking a Director of Gift Planning and Major Gifts to lead integrated strategies for major gifts and planned giving, aligning with campaign goals and institutional priorities. The role oversees a team of fundraisers and manages a 50+ donor portfolio to secure six- and seven-figure commitments.

The position reports to the Executive Director of Development Leadership and Strategies, within the Advancement division, and works primarily on campus with faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience managing fundraising staff.
• 10 years of fundraising experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated strategy for major gifts and gift planning.
• Lead coordination between major gifts and gift planning to maximize donor strategies.
• Supervise a team of fundraisers with coaching and performance management.
• Establish goals, metrics, and accountability aligned with fundraising targets.
• Maintain a portfolio of 50+ leadership-level donors.
